Frank Leboeuf has taken aim at Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo after Chelsea suffered a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
The 55-year-old made the comments while speaking on ESPN.
So, what did Frank Leboeuf say about Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo after Chelsea suffered another loss? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the Frenchman was not happy with Chelsea’s £222m duo after Nottingham Forest grabbed all three points in west London.
Specifically, Leboeuf felt Caicedo and Fernandez were being too careful with the ball, and not taking enough risks in possession.
The man who made 203 appearances for Chelsea said: “It’s not that Chelsea’s players are not good, they just don’t know what to do. The only thing they are thinking is… I don’t want to lose the ball. It’s why we are seeing Enzo, Moises Caicedo and others not taking any risks.”

Caicedo failed to register a key pass against Steve Cooper’s side – according to WhoScored – although the Ecuador international’s primary role is to win the ball back for Chelsea, and he did that often enough with three successful tackles.
However, Leboeuf’s criticism of Fernandez is not justified.
Moises Caicedo could be more daring, but Enzo Fernandez was brave for Chelsea
We aren’t sure what game Leboeuf was watching if he felt Fernandez looked scared.
The Argentina international was arguably the only player looking to make things happen for Chelsea against Nottingham Forest – Raheem Sterling too, perhaps – and almost every action was made with the intention of starting an attack.

Fernandez registered three key passes – more than any other Chelsea player – and he does not deserve to be called timid by Leboeuf after a determined performance.
The Chelsea No.8 also made three tackles like Caicedo, so he was industrious as well as creative.
Hopefully, more Chelsea players can step up to the Argentine’s level next week against Bournemouth.
