Brentford manager Thomas Frank has admitted that he cannot stop his club from selling Ivan Toney to Chelsea or another side.
Ivan Toney has been heavily linked with a move to Brentford’s west London rivals, with TEAMtalk recently claiming that he is emerging as their top target, and Thomas Frank has accepted that the striker’s future is out of his hands.
“Ivan is a world-class player, so why should we sell a world-class player? I want him to play for Brentford for the rest of his contract but that’s not up to me to decide,” the Bees manager was quoted as saying by the Evening Standard yesterday.

Interest in Toney comes as no surprise, as the 27-year-old has really excelled in the Premier League.
Last season, he scored 20 goals in 33 appearances, helping his side to actually finish above Chelsea.
Ivan Toney a world-class player?
Toney needs to do a lot more before others start to put him in the world-class bracket.
He needs more campaigns like the previous one under his belt, while more bright displays against the top six will also help his cause.
Whatever the case, the England international has done enough to earn himself a move to a club like Chelsea or Arsenal.

And playing in a side that has more quality than Brentford, perhaps that could help him to reach that world-class level.
For Frank, though, Toney is already there and maybe Chelsea agree, hence their interest in him.
It is unfortunate that Toney has not had the chance to prove himself further this season because of his suspension. But once the Brentford man is back, his manager will be hoping that he can pick up from where he left off, though it is not quite clear who his boss will actually be when he plays his next game.
