Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea were offered the chance late in the transfer window to sign Jadon Sancho.
He took to YouTube to state that the opportunity arose when the discussion over letting Marc Cucurella leave came up.
Sancho is currently going through a rough time in his already difficult Manchester United career.

Despite joining for £73m, he has not lived up to the standards that they had hoped, and this was proven as he was not named in the squad to face Arsenal.
Erik ten Hag came out after the game and stated that he had not been good enough in training, and was therefore not included.
This has sparked plenty of talk over what the future will now look like for the England international.
Sancho was offered to Chelsea
Romano has now stated that there were early talks over a move to Chelsea in the late moments of the transfer window.
He said: “What I can mention is this tension around Jadon Sancho was rleady there in the last two or three weeks. Erik ten Hag was not so happy with the level of training; they were expecting something different. Sancho is clear though – he believes it is something else not related to his training.

“We have to see how it will evolve. I want to touch on Chelsea. We heard rumours about Chelsea for Jadon Sancho in the final weeks of the transfer window. It was not close, it was not a top target.
“The name came on the table when Chelsea and Manchester United were talking about Marc Cucurella. A swap deal with Cucurella. It was a normal discussion.”
It remains to be seen whether a deal is struck at a later date for a player who looks really out of favour at Old Trafford.
