Chelsea legend and former manager Frank Lampard has claimed that the Blues have a player right now who is amongst the best in the world.
He told Joe that he thinks current club captain Reece James is one of the best right-backs in the world when fully fit.
James has struggled badly with his injuries this season, with it unfortunately becoming a trend in the early stages of his career that he misses long spells through injury.

The skipper has not yet been seen in 2024 due to injury, although he is expected to be able to play a role before the end of the season.
He has frequently been seen on the club’s injury list throughout this campaign, however the club have at least found one suitable replacement.
Malo Gusto is still in his first full season as a Chelsea player, however he has quickly proven to be one of the best purchases of the new era with his performances.
Lampard praises James
Lampard though has been quick to remind supporters that they are truly blessed with one of the players they already have at their club.
He said: “Mason Mount moves to Manchester United. As much as I have a real affiliation with Chelsea, I’m happy for him. I want him to go there and do well.
“Reece James is one of the best right-backs in the world in my opinion, absolutely in the world when he’s fit. Having a few issues, I’m happy to be there and ask ‘how are you feeling or what’s going on’ and be that person.”
Lampard had a positive spell in charge of the club on a permanent basis, before coming in to try and steady the ship last season.
He has recently had his say on his successor Mauricio Pochettino, with him hammering home that he does not believe that the Argentine deserves the stick he does for the season he has had in charge of the club.
