The agent of Chelsea signing Kendry Paez has been speaking about his client during this international break.
Chelsea signed Kendry Paez from Independiente del Valle in June, though the 16-year-old will not be able to move to Stamford Bridge until he turns 18, and his agent Andrea Pellegatti has told Tuttomercatoweb that the Blues have acquired one of the rising stars of international football.
Despite being 16, the midfielder has already made his debut for Ecuador and even managed to score a goal.
That alone tells you that Paez has the potential to go right to the top.
One journalist has even suggested that his potential is on another level to Jude Bellingham’s.
Everyone will know Kendry Paez
Pellegatti thinks Paez is a player who we will hear a lot about soon.
Speaking about his client in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb, he said: “He is one of the rising stars of international football. He has already made his debut in the Copa Libertadores. He is already in the senior national team.
“Chelsea are active in their recruitment. They have signed him for 2025. We will certainly hear a lot about him.”

Chelsea had to sign Kendry Paez
Honestly, since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital took over Chelsea, it has felt like the club have put too much of an emphasis of signing players for the future and neglected the present.
Had this Blues team had more experienced footballers in it, you cannot help but feel that they would not be in 10th right now and would have finished higher than 12th last season.
However, Paez is someone who the club just had to buy. His ceiling is ridiculously high and some Chelsea supporters will now be counting down the days until he turns 18. He is that much of an exciting prospect.
With all of these young and talented players on their books, Chelsea could have some team in the future.
As for now, though, they are obviously a side who need to improve. Things got better just before the international break, but there is still quite a big gap between Mauricio Pochettino‘s men and the top four.
