Jermaine Jenas was totally enthralled by Jude Bellingham’s performance for England against Iran.

Jenas gave his glowing verdict of the Borussia Dortmund midfielder whilst commentating for the BBC on the Three Lions’ entertaining World Cup opener.

Bellingham shone throughout match that eventually finished 6-2 in favour of England.

Watching him glide across the pitch, completing passes and making tackles, it would’ve been hard to guess the teenager was making his World Cup debut.

He marked his magical moment with the opening goal of the fixture.

Luke Shaw’s cross located the forehead of the Dortmund gem, who managed to steer his effort up and over the stranded Iranian goalkeeper.

What a time and place to score your first senior international goal.

But Bellingham was not content with simply getting on the scoresheet and cowering away in the shadows.

The 19-year-old dominated in midfield, striding forward with purpose and retreating to defend when necessary.

He even found himself at centre-back for a short while whilst Harry Maguire was off the pitch injured.

“He’s been outrageous today, Jude Bellingham. He’s 19 years old, 19. It’s scary, honestly,” said Jenas during the contest.

Millions around the globe will have witnessed Bellingham’s excellence, but Chelsea above most may have taken the most interest.

Todd Boehly reportedly wants to steal the BVB star from his Bundesliga holdings in the summer.

After that exhibition in an England shirt, Boehly might have a real task on his hand to win Bellingham’s signature.
