Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has been speaking about a player who everyone loves at Stamford Bridge.
Ben Chilwell made his first start since September in Chelsea‘s 6-1 win against Middlesbrough on Tuesday and was praised by his teammate Noni Madueke for his performance.
The 21-year-old, whose words have been relayed by the Evening Standard, also revealed that Chilwell is a hugely popular figure in the dressing room at Stamford Bridge.
Tuesday was also a good night for Madueke, who managed to get his name on the scoresheet.
Chelsea will now take on Liverpool at Wembley in a repeat of the 2022 Carabao Cup final, which the former lost on penalties.

According to Madueke, everyone at Chelsea loves Chilwell.
Speaking after the Blues’ victory against Middlesbrough, the England U21 international said: “Chilly was outstanding today. He is one of the captains, an experienced head; all the boys love him.”

As Madueke highlighted, Chilwell is also a very experienced player, or at least compared to the majority of the team.
The left-back, who Chelsea signed from Leicester City for £50m (Sky Sports) back in 2020, is now 27 years of age. According to Transfermarkt, he has made 163 appearances in the Premier League.
With such a young dressing room, the Chelsea players need their vice-captain around. This season, he has barely been seen because of injury.
Hopefully that changes now Chilwell is fit again. As well as the experience the former Leicester man brings to the pitch, he is also just a very good player to have.
“He got forward and looked very athletic,” Stuart Pearce said when discussing Chilwell’s latest display.
Things have picked up for Chelsea of late, with the club now just four points behind sixth after some good results. Any more injuries, and to someone like Chilwell, and it could set them back.
