Chelsea supporters on social media counted their lucky stars that Saul Niguez had been signed in time following the latest N’Golo Kante news.
It was announced yesterday by the French national team that Kante had pulled out of the latest World Cup qualifier due to an ankle injury.
They stated that the mini-midfielder would be replaced by Adrian Rabiot for the fixture against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
However, Kante was still listed on the bench for Wednesday’s 1-1 draw but was an unused substitute.

This ankle problem is nothing new to Chelsea followers.
He was forced off at half-time away to Liverpool due to the issue, which has popped up on numerous occasions in the past few years.
Evidently still not fully recovered, Blues fans felt relieved that they had acquired some cover for the Frenchman in the form of Saul on deadline day.
Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:
Dropping in Saul straight away
Depending on the extent of Kante’s wounds, Saul might be earning his Chelsea stripes sooner than expected.
Whilst some of his teammates are away on national duty, the Spaniard flew over to Cobham to greet those who had remained.
Thomas Tuchel has a solid nine days before the next Premier League fixture to assess his latest recruit and imbed him into the side.

This settling-in period could be crucial, as the Chelsea doctors sit nervously for the return of a fit or fragile Kante.
Aston Villa awaits the Champions League holders next, welcomed by a hopefully packed-out Stamford Bridge.
