Pat Nevin thinks that N’Golo Kante should walk straight into the best Chelsea XI when everyone’s available.
Graham Potter, who’s now been in charge as the Blues head coach for five months, has had a real problem when it comes to working out a settled line-up.
He’s definitely not been helped by the injury pile up at Stamford Bridge this season, as well as the inconsistent form of most of the squad.
Thankfully, it looks like key individuals are starting to return in time for the second half of the campaign.

N’Golo Kante impact
BBC pundit Nevin is convinced that Kante should go straight into Potter’s starting XI at Chelsea when he’s fit.
“N’Golo Kante is the very first pick if everyone is fully fit but it’s a very big ‘if’ for me. He’d play with Enzo Fernandez,” Nevin told BBC Sport.
It’s been reported by Football London that Chelsea are hoping Kante may be able to return from injury when the team face Tottenham on 26 February.
The 31-year-old midfielder has had a horrid season so far with just two appearances, which came back in August before his hamstring injury hit.

If Kante can recapture form anywhere near his best, Chelsea are going to improve as a team tenfold.
The all-action central midfielder has proven over so many years he’s a Rolls-Royce on the Premier League and Champions League stage, so it’s no surprise his absence has been massively felt this season.
However, most supporters are concerned that injuries are starting to become a much more regular occurrence with the Frenchman.
We hope that we do get to see a Kante-Fernandez midfield pivot in full flow in the months ahead.
