Pat Nevin has raved about the quality of new Chelsea signing Mykhailo Mudryk, who he’s actually only ever watched live three times.
The Blues completed the signing of the Ukraine international last week from Shakhtar Donetsk.
He’s moved to Stamford Bridge for £62million, plus a potential extra £27million in bonuses (BBC).
The 22-year-old winger has earned his move after dazzling in Shakhtar colours domestically and in Europe, but will that be able to translate into the Premier League?

Pat Nevin has shared that he’s previously watched Chelsea’s No.15 just a few times in the flesh and he’s a big fan of his:
“At half-time we were introduced to Mykhailo Mudryk, aged 22. Having watched him in the flesh three times now, I can tell you that the guy has gallons of talent to spare. It may be all about the transition to English football and we all know that can take a little while, but just about the entire football world was keeping tabs on him before we moved in decisively this week,” Nevin wrote on the club’s official website.
Mudryk, who’s got bags of pace, is going to add some extra excitement to Chelsea’s forward line.
The left-winger is lethal in 1v1 situations and loves the ball to feet, so it’ll be interesting to see how Graham Potter deploys him in the Blues line-up.
GiveMeSport claim that Chelsea are convinced their latest January signing will become a world-class player.
It looks like Mudryk has got all the quality and potential to live up to the hype, but it’ll be important to start well. That may not be straightforward walking into a team that’s inconsistent right now, though.
