Brentford Director Lee Dykes has claimed that Chelsea will have to pay a lot of money if they want to sign goalkeeper David Raya this summer.
He told ‘The Beautiful Game Podcast’ that they believe a transfer to let the 27-year-old leave would be costing in the region of £40m.
It was claimed yesterday that Tottenham are close to reaching an agreement on personal terms with Raya who has made it clear to his current club that he does not wish to stay beyond his current contract.

That expires in one year’s time, however if the fellow West Londoners are wanting to get any money for him he will need to be on the move now.
The Blues are a club who are definitely going to be in the market for a goalkeeper this summer. The performances of Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy were not good enough for them last season.
Raya to cost £40m
While Raya is certainly on the list for next season, Dykes has claimed his side won’t be pressured into letting him go on the cheap this summer.
He said: “We sat in front of David and said if you go beyond us, then that’s time for you to go. It’s well within his rights.

“£40m fee? You’ve to pay double than reported £20m because… he can play in number 10!”
Another name who has previously been mentioned as a contender for the role is Andre Onana, who recently fell short in the Champions League final against Manchester City.
However, his individual performance was certainly nothing to be ashamed of, and his ability with the ball at his feet in particular make him seem the player Chelsea should absolutely be targeting for the role.
