Chelsea winger Pedro Neto broke Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters’ hearts over the weekend after scoring against his former club.
Chelsea beat Wolves 3-0, with Neto scoring his side’s third goal to put the icing on the cake.
The 25-year-old spent five years at Molineux, but that did not stop him from celebrating against his old team.
Following his comments after the game, you can understand why Neto celebrated his latest goal at Stamford Bridge.

Pedro Neto says Wolves had 10 men behind the ball in defeat to Chelsea
Chelsea did not score their first goal until the second half, and Neto has put that down to, as someone would say, Wolves parking the bus.
It was something that clearly frustrated Neto, so when the Chelsea attacker finally managed to get his name on the scoresheet, everything came out.
“In the first half, it was hard to break them down but that’s always the case when a team plays with 10 players behind the ball,” Neto said via Chelsea’s official club website.
“However we were patient, we did a good job and we got our rewards in the end. Three goals, three points and we are all very happy.”
Estevao Willian is pushing Neto for a place in the side, but for now, Enzo Maresca is sticking with the Portuguese.
Former Wolves manager Gary O’Neil spoke about Neto after the game, stating that he is the best winger that he has worked with and that Estevao will have to bide his time.

Pedro Neto’s stats vs Wolves
While Neto may have been a bit frustrated with Wolves’ approach, he did not have to be annoyed with his own display.
The Portugal international put in a bright performance, creating chances and, of course, scoring his goal.
In total, Neto made two key passes, while the former Wolves star also completed three dribbles.
| Pedro Neto vs Wolves | Total |
| Minutes | 77 |
| Goals | 1 |
| Key passes | 2 |
| Crosses (accurate) | 7 (1) |
| Long balls (accurate) | 4/4 (100%) |
| Shots | 1 |
| Dribbles (successful) | 5 (3) |
| Ground duels (won) | 10 (7) |
It is understandable that Chelsea fans want to see Estevao playing week in, week out. And right now, you can certainly make an argument for the Brazilian starting.
But Neto is still helping Maresca’s side to win games and works extremely hard off the ball, something that his manager has mentioned before.
Estevao will get his time and very soon at this rate. Until then, hopefully Neto can continue to deliver in the first team.
