Chelsea have another happy camper to add to their already buoyant group.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek re-joined training yesterday for the first time since picking up an injury toward the end of January.
Another Ruben revival
The 26-year-old has missed the last six fixtures across all competitions, including the two Club World Cup ties held in Abu Dhabi.
He had to watch on as his teammates defeated Palmeiras 2-1 in the showpiece event on Saturday and celebrated the trophy that had previously evaded the club’s grasp.
Thomas Tuchel’s men are now back in Cobham ahead of the weekend’s short Premier League trip to Crystal Palace.
Whilst some of the squad might still be weary from their excursions on the other side of the globe, Loftus-Cheek should be fit and firing.

His most recent appearance in the top flight stretches way back to the middle of December, the 1-1 draw with Everton at Stamford Bridge.
Since then, the midfielder has tested positive for covid, picked up a few injuries and only played a handful of minutes in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
Loftus-Cheek losses his drive
Featuring against Palace would be a fitting way to reintroduce himself.
The Eagles housed Loftus-Cheek as a loanee on two separate occasions, helping him build momentum away from Chelsea.
A consistent career trajectory remains something the former England international is still searching for.
After a solid run under Tuchel between September and the Christmas period, it seemed like the Cobham academy product had finally discovered that missing thrust.

But rather typically of his fortunes, Loftus-Cheek’s body decided enough was enough.
Our fingers and toes are crossed for this being the final time we greet Ruben’s return from the treatment table.
How often has that sentence been written before…
