Chelsea released the photos from their penultimate training session before they take on Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup.

Supporters were given a glimpse behind the scenes at Cobham, to see who was in action ahead of Saturday’s showdown at Stamford Bridge.

Who has been pictured before the Plymouth tie?

A few players understandably failed to make an appearance.

Thiago Silva and Christian Pulisic have only recently completed their respective international exertions and probably won’t feature until after the weekend.

Edouard Mendy’s national team duties also excluded him from the picture, as he prepares for the Africa Cup of Nations final with Senegal.

Injured wing-back duo Reece James and Ben Chilwell are continuing their rehabilitation away from the group.

Trevoh Chalobah was in action again, though, as he gets back to full fitness following a hamstring problem.

Chalobah’s last appearance for Chelsea stretches back seven matches to the 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

But how about an absence of nearly four years for another individual who was spotted going through his paces at the training ground.

Kenedy returns

Kenedy hasn’t featured at all for the Blues since 2018, a period that’s been broken up by four separate loan spells.

He was recalled early from his most recent, away in his native land with Flamengo, in response to the club’s left wing-back concerns.

The 25-year-old is now the natural cover to Marcos Alonso whilst Chilwell recovers from his ACL wound.

There is every possibility the Brazilian could end his long spell out of the side tomorrow afternoon.

As could the man Kenedy looks to be escaping from in the behind-the-scenes images.

Starts for Kai Havertz have come in dribs and drabs recently.

He’s only played in consecutive games twice since the 11th of December.

A run-out against Plymouth, with a goal to boot, is exactly what the doctor ordered for the German.
