Chelsea assistant coach Anthony Barry led the first team’s Wednesday training session following the club’s decision to sack Thomas Tuchel.
The Blues have already begun their preparation ahead of Saturday’s derby against Fulham, but this time without several familiar faces.
Tuchel and the three assistant coaches; Zsolt Low, Arno Michels, and Benjamin Weber, who joined the club alongside him in 2021, were unsurprisingly absent.
The three coaches are also no longer on the list of men’s coaches and staff on the club’s official website.
As expected, Anthony Barry, who has served under both Frank Lampard and Tuchel, led the training session alongside other coaching staff.

Based on the photos shared by the club, only the players who were not heavily involved in Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb took part in Wednesday’s training.
Cesar Azpilicueta is the only one spotted among last night’s starters, but he only featured in the first half of the game before being replaced by Hakim Ziyech.

Interestingly, the development squad head coach Mark Robinson was also present in training.
He and Barry could play an important role at the weekend if a new manager will not have been appointed by then.
Although given recent reports, it is very likely Chelsea will have a new manager in the next few days.
