Chelsea saw a large quantity of players leave the club over the summer as they continued into the next phase of their project.
While they weren’t able to sell everyone they wanted to, the majority were at least loaned out in order to get them playing regular football that would not have been on offer under Enzo Maresca.
A lot of the young players at the club were unfortunately met with the realisation that minutes were not going to be easy to come by at Stamford Bridge, with some ending their time at the club for good.

Angelo Gabriel was one of those who they received a profit for, despite the fact that he never played a competitive game for Chelsea.
One player who did not leave for much though was Diego Moreira, who joined sister club Strasbourg for a fee less than £2m.

Since joining the Ligue 1 side, Moreira has played the majority of his minutes in a new role, featuring as a full-back.
As shown by statistics from DataMB, the 20-year-old has been performing at the highest level of anyone his age in that position this season.
His one appearance for Chelsea was not met which much praise, with him criticised heavily following his display against Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup last season.
The Blues signed the Portuguese winger for free, meaning they have not made a loss on him after selling him.

The fact he is also at a club under the control of BlueCo makes it easier for them to negotiate bringing him back if they so desire.
The French side currently have Andrey Santos and Djordje Petrovic starting for them on loan, with both impressing their new supporters already.
Chelsea fans will no doubt be keeping a close eye on Petrovic after more shakiness from Robert Sanchez between the sticks at the weekend.
