Premier League clubs have been scouting ‘brilliant’ Chelsea player this season

Given the size of Chelsea’s squad, it is perhaps likely that some sides are going to try their luck with signing a number of their players.

Reports of discontent among some are beginning to spread, with that always being a possibility based purely on the difficulty Enzo Maresca has in keeping everyone happy.

Christopher Nkunku is frustrated with his lack of minutes for the club, despite the fact that he is the top scorer for them so far this season.

He has starred in the Conference League on multiple occasions, a competition where a number of big-money Blues have been forced to earn their minutes.

One of those is Mykhailo Mudryk, a player who has been showing steady signs of improvement since Maresca took the reins.

Premier League clubs scouting Mykhailo Mudryk

Jason Cundy described one of Mudryk’s performances in Europe as ‘brilliant’, with him on more goal contributions than games in that competition.

Premier League starts have been few and far between for the Ukraine international though, and this is no doubt sparking the interest of some teams around them.

Simon Phillips has claimed that a number of Premier League sides have been keeping a close eye on Mudryk by scouting him this season.

He said on his Substack: “Clubs are showing some interest in Mudryk and he has scouts watching him from around Europe and even Premier League clubs.

“But none of that interest has yet turned into solid enquiries but if those come in, Chelsea could at least listen despite their determination to see it through with Mudryk.”

There is plenty of competition for places on the wings at Chelsea at the minute, which was added to over the summer with the additions of Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho.

Chelsea wingers ranked 2024/25

Of all the options available at the moment, it is fair to say that Noni Madueke has been the best performing of them for the entirety of the 24/25 campaign.

His place in the side could be in a bit of trouble though, with Neto looking a real threat on the right of attack.

With the Portugal international coming in second, Sancho ranks in third after providing a plethora of assists in his early Chelsea appearances before suffering from injury and illness.

This sees Mudryk ranking last, however that is more a statement of how well everyone has performed rather than him being off his game this season.
