Reports have claimed that Chelsea have received a bid from Nottingham Forest for defender Trevoh Chalobah.

According to the Mail Online, the Premier League side have tabled an offer worth £25m to try and complete the deal before tonight’s deadline.

Chalobah has been strongly linked with a move away from the club today, after looking surplus to requirements for the upcoming campaign.

It was widely expected that a reunion with Thomas Tuchel was on the cards at Bayern Munich.

However, the German champions only want to bring him in on loan, with the club preferring a permanent fee for the player.

This could spark their interest in accepting a bid from the Premier League side, with them reportedly now tabling a bid to sign him.

This fee does fall short of the reported asking fee Chelsea are hoping for to part ways with him.

Forest have also done business with Chelsea already this summer. They have been offered the opportunity to utilise Andrey Santos on loan.

They are also expected to bring in Callum Hudson-Odoi before tonight’s deadline.

It remains to be seen if Chelsea feel that fee is enough for them to part ways with the academy graduate today.
