Ben Chilwell’s Chelsea teammates have reacted to his goalscoring performance in the 3-1 win over his former club Leicester City on Saturday.

The Blues were expected to create plenty of chances, as they did in the last few months, but despite the two previous consecutive wins, there were always doubts whether Graham Potter’s men could convert them.

After all, Chelsea remain the lowest-scoring team in the top half of the Premier League table.

Chilwell, however, proved crucial once again after scoring the opener after just 11 minutes.

It was the only second goal Chelsea scored in the first 15 minutes of the game this season.

His goal celebration was likely a response to his being booed by the King Power Stadium crowd, and he certainly made his point.

“Big W,” the England international wrote on Instagram as he uploaded a photo of his celebration.

Based on his Chelsea teammates’ reactions, they were clearly impressed with his performance.

“Just for the vibes,” Marc Cucurella responded.

Young goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina, on the other hand, commented on the goal: “What a strike.”

Raheem Sterling, who missed out on the game due to a hamstring issue, added: “Tough”.
