The last few days have seen Chelsea add a new name to their transfer shortlist when it comes to a potential striker signing.
Randal Kolo Muani has been linked with the switch to Stamford Bridge, despite the club already securing the services of Liam Delap.
Chelsea have previous interest in signing the Frenchman. This included the potential of a swap deal involving Christopher Nkunku.
While reports stated the Blues entered early talks over signing Kolo Muani, there is nothing advanced at all at this stage to suggest he will be on the move.

Randal Kolo Muani asked directly about Chelsea interest
This didn’t stop Italian media from directly asking him about interest from Chelsea, and what his thoughts were as he prepares to return from his loan spell at Juventus.
The striker told TuttoSport that he is actually more keen on staying at the Serie A club, however right now is only focusing on the ongoing Club World Cup.
He said: “I don’t know anything about Chelsea. I’m trying to focus on the Club World Cup, which is a very fast competition. Once the tournament is over, we’ll see what happens on the market. If it were up to me, I’d stay here: I’m really happy at Juve, I feel very good.”
Chelsea have also been linked with a number of other forwards this summer. Hugo Ekitike and Mohammed Kudus have been mentioned for their versatility in attack.

New striker interest worrying for Nicolas Jackson
While Juventus have enjoyed a perfect start to life at the Club World Cup, the same cannot be said for Chelsea. They were defeated in their last game against Flamengo.
The major talking point from that outing was the red card for Nicolas Jackson, his second in four games in a Blues shirt.
Reports had stated that Jackson was unhappy amid interest in other strikers, and there are a number of clubs circling around to see if an opportunity arises to sign him.
Delap is set to start the first league game of the season, and if he hits the ground running it will be an uphill battle to earn his place back in the side.
