Reports have claimed that Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is in line for a massive bonus every time he plays for the Blues.
According to The Athletic, the forward’s bonus scheme could play a part in why he is very rarely featuring for the club in recent months.
It has been a spell to forget for both Aubameyang and Chelsea so far, and the writing was on the wall just days after he moved.

Thomas Tuchel, who the addition seemed tailor-made for, was sacked after just one game with the former Arsenal and Barcelona man at the club, leaving everyone wondering if they were going to get anything for the £10m they had spent on deadline day.
It seemed Graham Potter didn’t take a shining to the striker, with him hardly featuring for the Blues under his reign.
Aubameyang bonuses
You have to go back to December to find the last time that Aubameyang started for the Blues, when he had a miserable time against his former employers, Arsenal.
His fortunes are currently no better on the European side of things either, after Potter decided he would be the first team player to drop out of the squad in order for three new signings to come in.

This was despite the forward being the club’s joint top scorer in the competition up to that point.
It has since been reported that decision has left interim boss Frank Lampard extremely frustrated that he is unable to utilise the recognised goalscorer, even if it would be for a cameo at the end of games.
After coming off the bench last weekend against Wolves, it seems there is at least some sort of future for Aubameyang at Stamford Bridge this season, however beyond then is not so certain.
