Reports from Italy have claimed that Romelu Lukaku is set to return to Chelsea this summer.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan deem the player too expensive to consider signing permanently when this season comes to an end.
Supporters can be forgiven for forgetting about Lukaku, despite until only recently the Belgian being the club’s record signing.

A first and so far only season back at Stamford Bridge was typically eventful in the life of the 29-year-old. He looked devastating to start with before tailing off as the campaign went on.
His off-field antics saw him become not so popular with fans, and towards the end of the season Thomas Tuchel hardly looked to play him.
He was handed his dream move back to Italy in the summer, however only on a temporary basis due to the fee the Blues would require to part ways with the striker.
Lukaku to return to Chelsea
Injuries have severely affected his season, and this was most obvious when he looked a shadow of his former self representing his nation at the World Cup.
This has seemingly left the Serie A side, and Champions League quarter-finalists, unable to warrant making his stay there permanently.

Lukaku will be left at somewhat of a crossroads if this does prove to be the case. It is unclear whether there are any suitors who would be happy to take the attacker off their hands.
There may be some parts of the fanbase that are excited for a potential return to the top of the Chelsea side for the Belgium international.
The Blues have been crying out for a goalscorer this season, and there aren’t many who have proven they can do that on a more regular basis in England than Lukaku.
