AC Milan officials reportedly raved about Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek after his Champions League performance last week.

Loftus-Cheek delivered a brilliant individual performance last week when Chelsea beat AC Milan 3-0 at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League group stages. Interestingly, the two clubs meet again tonight in the return leg at the San Siro.

The 26-year-old started the season in decent form when Thomas Tuchel was in charge, something he’s continuing following the arrival as Graham Potter as the new head coach.

AC Milan officials raved about Loftus-Cheek

According to The Telegraph, Milan officials attended a post-match gathering that was held by Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali.

It is understood that the Italian club’s representatives “waxed lyrical” about Loftus-Cheek’s European display in this meeting in London.

It’s no real surprise that the Englishman’s contribution was a hot topic of discussions.

Loftus-Cheek has shown during a career that’s been up and down so far that he’s capable of delivering top-class performances on the big stage, but a lack of consistency has really held him back.

If this recent version of him is here to stay, Chelsea genuinely have another superb central midfielder to select.
