Turkish billionaire Muhsin Bayrak is one of the cash-rich names being linked with a potential takeover at Chelsea.
According to BBC Sport, Bayrak’s lawyer are due to hold talks with Chelsea today about purchasing the club.
The report states the lawyer will be in London on Thursday for discussions on behalf of his client.
This comes after it was recently confirmed Bayrak has already made an offer to Roman Abramovich to buy the Blues. He wants to “fly the Turkish flag in London” soon.
Of course, the speculation continues to fly around regarding new owners at Stamford Bridge, after it was confirmed by Abramovich his intentions to sell and end a 19-year spell in charge.
However, Thursday morning’s breaking news has now left everyone scratching their head. Fans are understandably worried, too.

Latest Chelsea development
It’s been announced on Thursday morning that the UK government has sanctioned Blues owner Abramovich, targeting wealthy Russians with assets in this country.
The 55-year-old will have his assets frozen due to association with Russian president Vladimir Putin, who’s involved in a current war with European country Ukraine. In addition, he will be banned from dealings with UK individuals and businesses, as well as being hit with a travel ban.
It’s unclear at this stage what implications Abramovich’s sanctions could mean on Bayrak’s attempt to try buy Premier League and London giants Chelsea.
