Reports from Italy have claimed that AC Milan are now eyeing up a permanent move for Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Champions League qualifiers are now considering a move that would see him leave Stamford Bridge for good.
Lukaku has made it pretty clear that he does not wish to return to Chelsea next season, when his loan spell at Milan’s big rivals Inter comes to an end.

However, the side he would love to join are so far not offering an attractive option for the Blues, with the recent European finalists only wanting to sign the player on loan.
This obviously makes no financial sense to Chelsea, who are currently looking to complete player sales in order to raise funds for their own spending.
AC Milan want Lukaku
There had been claims that new manager Mauricio Pochettino would be prepared to work with the outcast for next season, as he looks to solve the club’s glaring problem in front of goal.
However, this has been met by more resistance by the Belgian, with reports stating he is prepared to get his lawyers involved in order to force a move.

He has produced arguably the best standard of football in his career as a player in Serie A, so may consider an approach from Milan if the opportunity arises.
However, this would completely burn his bridges with Inter, a fanbase who completely adore him despite his heart-breaking miss in the Champions League final a few weeks ago.
Either way, Chelsea will need to act swiftly if they are going to recall any of the money spent on bringing in the then-club record addition.
