Reports have claimed that Chelsea are crafting a plan to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund this season.

According to The Evening Standard, the Blues would be aided big time if they make the decision to sell Mason Mount this summer.

News emerged in recent days that Liverpool, the side originally backed to be the favourites to sign the teenager, have cooled their interest in bringing him in at the end of the season.

The reported asking price, which will be north of £100m, has seemingly put the Reds off a deal, and instead they will look to favour investing elsewhere.

Two of their reported targets are currently at Stamford Bridge. Mount and Conor Gallagher are apparently on the list as players who could make the move to Anfield.

Chelsea plan to sign Bellingham

If the Premier League side make the move for one, or both of the midfielders, it has been claimed it could free up the funds required to bring in Bellingham.

Chelsea supporters got an up close view of the England international when the Blues faced Dortmund in the previous round of the Champions League.

While the former Birmingham man will admit himself that it was not his finest outings, the reaction fans at Stamford Bridge gave him suggested that they would love him to join the club.

Forming a midfield partnership of Jude Bellingham and Enzo Fernandez would certainly be desirable for any club looking to succeed at the top of the game.

Frank Lampard even said himself that the security of the midfield is extremely safe with the Argentinian in their ranks, and combining him with the teenager would set up a partnership that surely couldn’t fail in the Premier League.
