Chelsea are reportedly ready to let Carney Chukwuemeka leave, with AC Milan interested in the midfielder.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio on his website, AC Milan are interested in signing Carney Chukwuemeka from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea have reportedly put the 19-year-old midfielder on the transfer list.

The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are ready to send the teenager out on loan for next season with a view to make the deal permanent, according to Di Marzio.

What should Chelsea do about Carney Chukwuemeka?

In our view, Chelsea should not send Carney Chukwuemeka out on loan to AC Milan or to any other club for that matter.

Not in the summer transfer window at least.

Mauricio Pochettino is the new head coach of Chelsea now, and we believe that the former Tottenham Hotspur boss needs to work with the teenager first.

The Chelsea hierarchy should let Pochettino work with the midfielder in pre-season and then give the teenager the first half of the next campaign.

Let us not forget that Chukwuemeka is only 19 and cost Chelsea £20 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Aston Villa in the summer of 2022 (Sky Sports).

It has been a really poor season for Chelsea, and it has been hard for young players such as Chukwuemeka.

The Chelsea no. 30 made two starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League this past season.

Chukwuemeka also made one substitute appearance in the FA Cup for the Blues.
