Paris Saint Germain have reportedly been in talks with Sahr Sanessie, the agent of Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger, according to Foot Mercato.

The 28-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge.

His contract situation has reportedly attracted quite a lot of attention, including from top European clubs, such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and, according to Foot Mercato, also Paris Saint-Germain.

Speaking in a press conference on Friday, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel made it clear about his wanting to keep Rudiger beyond this season.

Tuchel, however, also expects to wait even longer for Rudiger’s decision.

The Germany international will be able to speak to foreign clubs starting from January.

During the period, he will also be able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement for a free transfer move at the end of the season to any of these clubs.

PSG do not seem to want to wait, though, as Foot Mercato claims they have already begun discussions with Rudiger’s half-brother and agent, Sannesie.

The report further added that Mauricio Pochettino, who recently described Chelsea as “a defensive team”, also approves PSG’s pursuit of the former Roma defender.
