Report: Club reach agreement to sign ‘really fast’ Chelsea player, he’s got three days to accept their offer

Chelsea and Roma have reportedly reached an agreement over the permanent transfer of Tammy Abraham, but the player may only have a few days to complete the move.

According to The Athletic, the Blues have agreed to sell the English star to Italian side Roma.

It is understood that Roma’s general manager Tiago Pinto will travel to London to try finalise a deal, which is going to be a outright purchase on a permanent basis.

However, the report explains the ball is now very much in Abraham’s court. The 23-year-old is going to have three days to accept Roma’s offer otherwise they could look elsewhere. The Serie A club want to wrap up the signing quickly, so if it’s not done by Friday they may move onto other targets.

Abraham, who’s been called “very fast” by teammate Christian Pulisic, is someone who’s a product of the Chelsea academy.

Unfortunately, the centre-forward hasn’t been able to convince first-team manager Thomas Tuchel that he can be a key player under him at Stamford Bridge.

It’s worth noting though that that The Athletic says a buyback clause is included in Chelsea’s agreement with Roma.

He’s scored 30 goals in 82 first-team games for the Blues, along with successful loan spells at Bristol City, Aston Villa and Swansea City.

It will no surprise to see him shine in Italian football if he moves this summer.
