Reports have claimed that Newcastle United are still considering making a move to sign Conor Gallagher this summer.
According to the Telegraph, the Magpies have him in their shortlist of potential midfielders to sign alongside Manchester United’s Scott McTominay.
Despite playing a lot of games in recent months, it is widely expected that Gallagher will be on the move from Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

He was on the scoresheet at the weekend as the Blues returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory at Bournemouth.
Goals were a staple of his game during his highly successful loan spell at Crystal Palace, where he impressed enough to become a member of the Chelsea side this season.
Gallagher wanted by Newcastle
He has not always proven a popular selection when picked at Stamford Bridge, notably when he was part of the attacking trio that faced Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final second leg.
Nevertheless, his displays this season have certainly not put sides off making a move for him, especially since January when he was the subject of deadline day interest.

Everton were keen to make a late deal in excess of £40m for the England international, however the player’s desire to play for a side in Europe saw him not make the move.
This could come in interest from Newcastle though, with them almost certain to be playing in Europe next season, likely even in the Champions League.
The Blues are going to be outside of the elite for at least next season, however will be hoping that the right managerial appointment as well as smart transfer business will help them back towards the top as early as next summer.
