Reports have claimed that there are some staff at Chelsea that have fears over signing Romeo Lavia this summer.
According to the Mail Online, Joe Shields is leading the club’s interest in bringing in the youngster this summer.
Lavia is one of many names who have been considered for the addition of a midfielder to the club at the end of the season.

It has previously been reported that the club are looking to strengthen throughout their spine, including in the middle of the park.
This is despite already breaking their transfer record in January to purchase Enzo Fernandez to be the future of that position.
However, the Blues have been very impressed with the Argentine since he came in, and are instead looking for the perfect partner for him as a long-term addition this summer.
Chelsea unsure on Lavia
It seems though as if there may be a disagreement between some members of the club’s staff over who is the best fit, with a number of names being on the shortlist.
The Premier League is the likely destination for the Blues to look in the market, with them linked to a number of names from England’s top flight.
Declan Rice is the name who has been strongest link with a move across London in recent years, however the Blues have been joined in their interest by Arsenal, who can boast the far more impressive campaign.

Elsewhere, Moises Caicedo is a player who the club have made efforts to sign in the past.
There was reportedly a bid rejected in January for his services, as both Chelsea and Arsenal fought for a new midfielder.
With Mauricio Pochettino set to join the club in the coming weeks, it is expected he will have a say on who comes in.
