Reports have claimed that Todd Boehly has recently held talks with Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy over a potential new contract with the club.
According to The Times, the negotiations have not led to the two parties becoming close on agreeing a deal.
The news comes as contract issues continue to emerge from Stamford Bridge. Fan favourite Mason Mount is reportedly still not close to signing a new deal either.

The England international has reportedly been offered a deal similar to that of fellow academy graduate Reece James, however the terms are not yet satisfactory to him.
As for the goalkeeper, he is yet to play for the club since before the World Cup due to injury.
However, his place in the first team has near enough gone anyway off the back of some sensational form from Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Mendy not close to new deal
Both options have contracts which expire in less than 18 months’ time, and reports up to now have claimed that there is more of an appetite to keep hold of Kepa instead of the £22m man.
Despite that, The Times have claimed that discussions have been opened between the owner and Mendy regarding a new deal.
The report goes on to say that things are still not close between the two parties though, causing Chelsea more headaches as he approaches his final year of his contract.

Boehly is reportedly against allowing players to enter the final year of their deal, after the situation that allowed both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to leave for free.
Their departures saw somewhat of a mad transfer window ensue afterwards, as the Blues looked to replace two starting defenders.
They brought in Wesley Fofana, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella, who are all now beginning to show what they can do at their new club.
