Reports have claimed that Graham Potter is struggling with the amount of players he has to coach at Chelsea.

According to the Daily Mail, the manager is far more used to an 11v11 style of managing, which he was able to do at his former squad at Brighton.

Potter’s chances at succeeding were supposed to be boosted by a sea of January additions.

The likes of Enzo Fernandez, Joao Felix and Mykhailo Mudryk were brought in, as part of a desperate attempt to rescue somewhat of a decent season at Stamford Bridge.

However, there has not been any evidence of this up to now. The Blues are currently on a run of two wins in their last 15 games.

This has seen the consensus amongst the fanbase that he should be sacked. Those who attend games have not been afraid to share their views.

Despite that, reports claim there are no current plans to replace Potter in the hotseat.

Now, it has emerged that he may be having problems with the size of the squad he is currently dealing with at Chelsea.

The likes of Marc Cucurella and Carney Chukwuemeka, both signed for big money last summer, were not able to be included in the matchday squad due to the vast number of players in the team.

The Daily Mail have claimed that this could be behind why Potter’s abilities have seemingly fallen so far since he left Brighton, where he was impressing greatly.

There is a real feeling that the next two games will be crucial to the Englishman as to whether he will remain at Stamford Bridge.

These include the crucial Champions League second leg against Borussia Dortmund, where their only opportunity to save this season sits.
