Report: ‘World-class’ player could be tempted to join Liverpool after Boehly apparently wanted him at Chelsea

Reports from France have claimed that Kylian Mbappe is now tempted by a move to the Premier League in a future transfer window.

According to L’Equipe, the attacker however is considering a move to Liverpool instead of Chelsea, who were seemingly considering him last summer.

It seemed a very real possibility that Mbappe was going to be on the move this summer as an extraordinary saga played out in Paris.

As the two parties got themselves in what seemed an unsalvageable situation, PSG began looking for a solution that suited them best.

It was claimed that they were hoping Chelsea were going to be one of the sides who could strike a deal with them to take him off their hands.

This then led into reports that Todd Boehly was very keen to get the deal over the line, as his ambition remains to bring a superstar calibre player to Stamford Bridge.

Mbappe interested in Liverpool over Chelsea

This has existed ever since he took over the club, with the opportunity to sign Cristiano Ronaldo prevailing last season.

This didn’t occur, and it looks as if Mbappe is now not going to be making that decision too.

It has been claimed that he is considering a move to Liverpool when he makes his long-awaited move next summer.

The Blues for now focused on bringing in numerous profiles to strengthen the squad, after they finished in 12th last season.

Their big addition instead was the signing of Moises Caicedo, who was brought in to try and add the perfect partner for Enzo Fernandez.
