Despite the Premier League season already being underway, there is still talk that Chelsea could be making a serious upgrade to their squad.
Reports have refused to rule out the Blues making a late move this summer to sign Victor Osimhen, with him seemingly out of Antonio Conte’s plans at Napoli.
The former Chelsea boss is far more keen on going into his own new season with Romelu Lukaku, however so far no deal has been reached between the two clubs.

Chelsea are reportedly not the only Premier League side monitoring a deal either. Arsenal have also asked about the situation of Osimhen as deadline day approaches.
After hearing of Chelsea’s interest and the striker’s reported desire to move to Stamford Bridge, Richard Keys has claimed he would tell the Nigerian to steer clear of a move to West London.
Richard Keys tells Osimhen to avoid Chelsea
He said in the Richard Keys blog: “What’s happening with Gallagher Todd? Has someone realised after yesterday’s limp performance perhaps those young boys need a solid pro amongst them? Someone who understands Chelsea? Someone who understands what fed-up Chelsea punters want?
“And Osimhen? Mikel Jon Obi told beINSPORTS at the weekend that he’s exchanged messages with the player and that Osimhen is desperate to sign. So what’s the hold up? Mind you – if I exchanged messages with him I’d advise him to steer clear of the madhouse.”
Chelsea agree deal for Joao Felix
Chelsea already look set to strengthen their ranks with another attacker in the coming days after a deal was reached to bring Joao Felix back to the club.
There is already plenty of competition for places in the frontline, with Nicolas Jackson currently seen as the number one striker at the club.
His role is already under threat from youngster Marc Guiu, who came on for his Chelsea debut against City.
Adding another striker would cause more headaches for Enzo Maresca to deal with, and add to a bloated squad that already needs cutting down.
