Rio Ferdinand still does not think Chelsea are among the favourites to win the Champions League despite the comeback win over Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16 on Tuesday.
The Blues secured their spot in the quarter-finals thanks to Raheem Sterling first-half strike and Kai Havertz’s spot-kick goal.
Dortmund had the majority of the possession, but Chelsea had the better goalscoring chances in this game.
Graham Potter’s men created three big chances in this game, while Dortmund had none.
According to Ferdinand, this victory is a massive confidence boost for Chelsea, but they are still among the underdogs in the tournament.

“I wouldn’t put them anywhere near being favourites, no disrespect, just because of the form and where other teams are in comparison,” he said about Chelsea’s Champions League chances during BT Sport’s post-match coverage.
“The difference this result can make for confidence right now is great, but you have to take it game by game.
“You can’t look any further than this weekend.”
Well, Chelsea’s form this season is far from convincing.
But it is worth mentioning that, this Chelsea side have what it takes to succeed in a cup competition.
Bear in mind that despite the disappointing season, Chelsea conceded the joint-second fewest goals in the Premier League.
A solid defence is worth more in a cup competition than in a league, simply because there is no draw.
