The question on Chelsea fans’ lips recently has revolved around Romeo Lavia, and where he has been in relation to the first team squad.
Lavia suffered an injury against Qarabag at the start of November, and Enzo Maresca stated that he would be absent for around a month.
However, as we approach February, the Belgian has remained out of action, following a worrying trend of his career since his move to Stamford Bridge.

Romeo Lavia hints he is on his way back from injury
Lavia has been known to keep supporters updated with his recovery progress on social media, however there has been radio silence of late.
That was until Friday, when he took to his Instagram story to hint at an update of his situation.
He posted a picture stating: “Life update, we’re so back”, hinting that he is not far away from making a return to the Chelsea squad.
There were more fears about his status after links to Douglas Luiz, although these may be explained by Liam Rosenior confirming Dario Essugo had suffered a setback in his own injury problems.

Liam Rosenior gives positive Lavia update
Rosenior was asked about Lavia’s status in his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s trip across London to take on Crystal Palace.
No wins against Palace since Mauricio Pochettino was in charge…
The Englishman was able to provide a positive update on his fitness, however made it clear that he wanted him to be available at full fitness.
He said: “Romeo’s on the way back, which is great because he’s a very, very good player at a very high level.
“I want him back as quickly as possible. But I want him back as quickly as possible with no more injuries. That’s the difference. I don’t want to force him.”
Lavia’s return will be a great boost for the Blues, who are currently having to rely on Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo more than they would have liked.
