Romeo Lavia gives five-word injury update to Chelsea supporter, it’s very good news

It’s been clear to see just who Chelsea have been missing in the middle of the park as of late as their excellent start to the Premier League season has threatened to derail.

Romeo Lavia has been absolutely brilliant when fit enough to feature for the Blues this season, however that has not been the case since the win over Tottenham a month ago.

His absence has seen Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez playing nearly all of the minutes in midfield recently, with the impact of that clearly beginning to show its toll.

Romeo Lavia says he will return from injury ‘very very soon’

It is clear that Enzo Maresca does not have enough faith in the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Carney Chukwuemeka to carry out the required job in the Premier League.

For this reason, fans have been crying for the return of Lavia. Maresca said that he could be fit for the FA Cup game this weekend.

The midfielder himself seemed to echo these positive thoughts with his own reply to a supporter asking him on Instagram the latest.

He said: “Very very soon my friend.”

The midfielder has had a horrific time of things as far as injuries go since making the move from Southampton to Chelsea. Lavia has missed 66 games since joining in the summer of 2023.

Chelsea could recall Andrey Santos for Lavia cover

With the Blues seemingly unfortunately not able to rely on the Belgian’s fitness at the moment, there are some supporters who are desperate to see them bring one of their loanees back to the club.

Andrey Santos has enjoyed a brilliant season so far at Strasbourg, and this has not gone unnoticed by his parent club.

There must be regrets that Chelsea didn’t keep Santos last summer, after it seemed as if he was going to be a part of the first team squad this season.

The Brazilian looks more than ready for first team football with what he has shown at Strasbourg so far, and it doesn’t feel as if it will be long before we are seeing that happen in a Chelsea shirt.
