Antonio Rudiger said new Chelsea teammate Romelu Lukaku is stronger than him, as he shared how the striker is as a person off the pitch.
The 28-year-old goalscorer joined the Blues from Inter Milan this summer on a reported £97.5million deal (The Guardian), which made him the club-record signing.
It is easy to see why Chelsea were prepared to spend big on him, though.
They have practically got their hands on a proven goalscorer with ridiculously impressive physical abilities.
According to Rudiger, the striker is even among the fastest players in the Chelsea squad.

“In terms of acceleration, I think there is a lot of players who are maybe faster than me,” the Germany international told Sky Sports about the fastest players at Chelsea.
“But when we [hit top speed], I think I will go for myself or Romelu Lukaku.”
Rudiger is still convinced that he could beat any player at Chelsea, including Lukaku, but not strength.

“Come on, this question is [disrespectful]. Of course, he’s stronger,” the centre-back responded when asked who is stronger between him and Lukaku.
“A 100 percent, look at the guy and look at me [laugh]. [It’s] Rom, every day.
“I’ve known him [before he had joined Chelsea], he’s very calm.
“You can have serious talks with him, you can joke with him.
“You can see he has grown as a person. There is a lot of confidence — not arrogance, but good confidence.”
To be fair, Rudiger is also very confident guy, so his admission illustrates Lukaku’s physical prowess.
Unsurprisingly, Mason Mount previously confirmed that Lukaku is always working in the gym.
