Sergio Aguero has shown some great respect to two ex-Chelsea players during a fan Q&A on Tuesday afternoon.

Premier League icon Aguero, who recently announced his retirement from football, has been answering questions about a range of topics on his Twitter.

First of all, the 33-year-old’s named former Chelsea captain John Terry as the hardest centre-back he ever faced in the Premier League during his time as Manchester City’s striker.

Terry is regarded by many supporters as the division’s greatest ever centre-half. It’s a sign of his quality when a centre-forward with Aguero’s class singles him out above anyone else, though.

In addition, Aguero answered what seems like a never-ending question in Premier League and English football. Of course, it’s the debate over who was the best English midfielder out of Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard or Paul Scholes.

Chelsea fans will love to hear he responded with Lampard. In fairness, he had a brief spell together as a teammate of Aguero at Man City.

Chelsea iconic in PL history

Terry, who’s now back at Stamford Bridge in a coaching consultancy role, is a Premier League great. He created a superb legacy for himself as Blues captain that may never be beaten at the club.

Meanwhile, legendary midfielder Lampard has a CV that speaks for itself as a player. The current Everton boss is going to be a stunning manager is he can replicate even half the success from his playing days.

Former Chelsea shot-stopper Petr Cech deserves to be in the heart of the conversation for best goalkeeper to ever play in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Ashley Cole makes a best XI at left-back for most people’s teams.

Didier Drogba and Eden Hazard are more ex-Blues players to leave a huge impact in English football over the past couple of decades.
