Some Chelsea staff have the same issue with the players during pre-season

Some members of Chelsea’s staff have struggled with the same issue of remembering all the names of the players.

That is according to a report from The Independent.

They claim that Blues staff are still trying to get to grips with every single player in the squad.

In fact, they have occasionally referred to the stars by their age or position rather than name.

It’s pretty surprising to hear this after one month working with the squad, but it was a 29-man party that travelled out to the United States for the pre-season tour.

We hope Mauricio Pochettino is given a helping hand by the board by slightly trimming the squad still, albeit it’s loads better than what it looked like last season at Stamford Bridge.

There’s a number of young talents that are tipped to exit on loan before the summer transfer window shuts.

For example, The Telegraph says that midfield talent Cesare Casadei is expected to join Championship club Leicester City next week on a temporary basis.

Elsewhere, Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Chelsea will send young goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina out on loan.

South London Press claims that versatile youngsters Lewis Hall could sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge before joining Crystal Palace on loan for the upcoming season.

Hopefully, Pochettino’s got a tight-knit squad to work with this time next month.

There will be less chance to rotate and hand minutes out this season considering Chelsea don’t have the luxury of European football on offer.
