Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl said Thomas Tuchel has transformed Chelsea into a team “full of self-confidence” ahead of Saturday’s clash.
Chelsea now occupy the fourth place after securing the three points in Newcastle United win last weekend.
The unbeaten run under the new manager is certainly remarkable, with Chelsea picking up 13 points from possible 15 points.
Ahead of the weekend’s clash, Saints boss Hasenhuttl has praised Chelsea’s revival under Tuchel.
“It’s obvious that he knows what he does, and he’s managed to immediately bring his game plan in the team,” Hasenhuttl said of Tuchel during his pre-match press conference.
“You can see the development of Chelsea, in the short time he’s been there.
“It’s massive, I think, they completely different style of football now. This for me is a sign of a manager who has a clear plan.
“You can see the transformation from a team that was struggling to a team that is now full of self-confidence and know what they do.”
But Chelsea are not flawless as well, according to Hassenhutl.
He believes Chelsea still have “a few old habits” that he hopes his team can exploit.
“We’ll try to use these weaknesses to our advantage,” he added.
“It’s normal that not everything is 100 percent when you just came into a new club.
“The longer they work with Thomas, I think the better they will get.”
