Stan Collymore believes Graham Potter made a strange decision by not starting Mykhailo Mudryk against Tottenham.
Mudryk was on the Chelsea bench for Sunday’s defeat against Spurs, losing 2-0 in the Premier League as the team’s horrendous form continued.
The 22-year-old winger, who joined from Shakhtar Donetsk in January, has now gone back-to-back games without a start. He was used as a late substitute in both, though.
It’s been tough for the new Blues attacker to rediscover the same kind of form so far that made him a major hit at Shakhtar.
However, Mudryk has confirmed he’s still enjoying life at Stamford Bridge.

Mykhailo Mudryk benched again
Pundit Stan Collymore is absolutely baffled Mudryk didn’t start the weekend defeat to Spurs.
“For Potter not to start Mykhailo Mudryk on the weekend was a strange one, he’s just been signed for £88.5m so surely he’s a player that’s going to be in that usual starting 11 so to drop him for Raheem Sterling, who has hardly set Stamford Bridge alight since he moved from Man City, was a strange decision,” Collymore told CaughtOffside.
In fairness, Mudryk isn’t the only individual to be caught in the firing line of Potter’s rotation policy.
Chelsea’s head coach continues to make wholesale changes to his starting line-up each game, so fans are constantly watching different combinations on the pitch.

Mudryk must be desperate to score his first goal in Chelsea colors, as he has now gone six games without scoring.
Potter’s side desperately needs someone to step up and start scoring because the entire team is massively failing in front of goal.
