Stan Collymore has just made an early prediction about the incoming Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca and how he will fare at Stamford Bridge.
The Telegraph reported on Thursday night that Chelsea have appointed Enzo Maresca on a five-year contract.
While fans continue to wait for an official announcement from the club, the media have jumped the gun by claiming Maresca has left Leicester City to become the new Blues head coach.

Stan Collymore prediction
Pundit Stan Collymore has reacted fairly negative to the speculation that Chelsea will soon appoint Maresca as their next head coach.
He’s even predicted that the 44-year-old Italian is likely to be at risk of losing his job only a few months into next season.
Collymore told CaughtOffside: “I would be absolutely astounded if, when we get to Christmas, there aren’t rumblings about Maresca’s position already being under threat because it’s a young, fickle, rookie group.
“For me, it’s an underwhelming appointment, the club should have stuck with Poch (Mauricio Pochettino), and I get the feeling that come November/December time, we’ll be having another conversation about Chelsea changing their manager again.”

Enzo Maresca needs to break Chelsea trend
A five-year deal for Maresca suggests Chelsea want to trust him as a long-term appointment, but recent history at the club is likely to make supporters think he’ll get nowhere near lasting all of that.
Since Arsenal appointed current manager Mikel Arteta in December 2019, Chelsea have continued hiring and firing managers. Let’s remember there’s been a change of ownership at the Bridge during that time, too.
It would be great if the Blues could finally find one man to stick with for an extended period.
Here are the most recent set of Chelsea managers:
