Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that Chelsea have been left delighted with the progress of one of their players so far this season.
He took to Twitter to state that the club are thrilled with what they have seen from Malo Gusto in his first campaign as a player.
Gusto has proven to many that he is easily one of the best pieces of business the new ownership have done in their near two years at the club so far.

The Frenchman has been thrown in at the deep end with the task of filling in for the club captain for the majority of the campaign.
Reece James has unfortuntately seen the campaign not go to plan with his unfortunate record of injuries carrying on this season.
However, the best compliment that can be paid to the 20-year-old this season is that they have not missed the skipper much at all based on the brilliant displays he has shown both in attack and defence.
Chelsea delighted with Gusto
Romano has now claimed that the club are delighted with the investment they made on the youngster a year ago, before loaning him back to France for the rest of last season.
He said: “Chelsea are super happy with the investment they made on Malo Gusto in January 2023.
“Real fee spent to sign French RB was £26m, as Chelsea anticipated two clubs from abroad also keen on Malo.
“7 assists, excellent performances and club more than happy with his development.”
The challenge is likely to come when James returns from his injury, and trying to fit two of the better members of the first team squad in the starting XI.
Gusto has at least shown that he has versitlity, and can feature on the opposite flank if required.
Given the injury record of current starting option Ben Chilwell, having someone who can feature there on a more regular basis may well be a desire for whoever is in charge of the club going into the future.
