Chelsea cruised to a comfortable 3-1 win over BATE Borisov on Thursday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter picked out defender Davide Zappacosta for special praise.
Midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek stole the headlines with his brilliant hat-trick, as he showed manager Maurizio Sarri that he is a brilliant talent waiting in reserve.

The England international netted twice inside eight minutes with smart finishes inside the penalty area, before adding a third from range in the second-half.
There were a number of fringe players who got the chance to impress in the Europa League group stage match and Zappacosta grabbed attention of supporters.
The right-back rarely had to think about his defensive duties in a match Chelsea dominated at Stamford Bridge and instead constantly bombed forward into attack.

Zappaocsta, 26, assisted Loftus-Cheek’s opening goal with an exceptional cross into the midfielder’s path.
The Italian full-back provided a number of great deliveries throughout the contest and also went close with an effort on goal that was well saved.

Some Chelsea fans were delighted with the performance of the fringe man, who is making the most of his chances in Europe to impress.
He is stuck behind teammate Cesar Azpilicueta in the pecking order for the right-back position, but is perhaps a more natural fit in that slot.
