Chelsea loanee Marc Guehi played on Wednesday night during Swansea City’s goalless draw against Reading – and some Swans fans on Twitter were left raving about his quality after his latest performance.
Guehi joined Championship side Swansea in the summer on a second loan spell at the Liberty Stadium, where he’s become a key figure for the Welsh club.
The 20-year-old defender has been a nailed-on starter in Steve Cooper’s team this campaign and is part of a squad vying for promotion, as they sit third in the Championship table going into the New Year.
He completed 90 minute midweek in the league meeting with Reading, which finished 0-0.
Guehi is a powerhouse centre-back with great strength, pace and tactical awareness at such a young age.
Chelsea have decided to loan the England Under-21 international out on loan from Stamford Bridge to help his development and he’s another rising star to come through the successful academy.
He should certainly be hopeful of a first-team breakthrough in the future with the Blues, as it’s a path that the likes of Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Reece James have been on in recent years to help them break into Frank Lampard’s senior group.
