A portion of Chelsea supporters on social media responded to a fitness update concerning Christian Pulisic.

According to the Sun, the Blues are planning to intensify Pulisic’s rehab in order to soothe his repeated run of injury absences.

The American hasn’t played a single minute for Chelsea since the Premier League’s opening weekend win against Crystal Palace.

An ankle wound sustained on international duty forced the forward back onto the treatment table.

A location he knows all too well from his time at Stamford Bridge.

Over the next fortnight, Chelsea aim to step up the healing process and hopefully have Pulisic ship-shape for domestic action again.

This potential development came to the relief of Blues fans, who wanted nothing more than to see the 23-year-old back in action.

Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:

Poorly Pulisic

It’s been an uphill health battle for Pulisic ever since he signed for Chelsea in 2019.

During his debut campaign, the USA captain missed no fewer than 14 matches due to a number of different bodily damages.

Last term, he suffered from muscle issues and was forced into isolation after testing positive for covid.

He also had to sit out this year’s 3-0 win against Arsenal thanks to covid protocols again.

Not the American dream

Some players simply cannot buy a lucky break.

Unfortunately for Pulisic, his palm reading has looked ominous for a while.

Which is a shame, because there is such a talented attacker waiting to be unleashed from his hospital bed.

Thirty-two goals and assists in 79 appearances for Chelsea is not a bad return in the slightest.

But Pulisic’s record will be in vain if he is unable to remove the plasters and bandages soon.
