It is fair to say that Chelsea’s opponents executed their plan to perfection at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Nottingham Forest ended the Blues’ five game winning streak, holding on to a 1-1 draw.
Noni Madueke proved a point and found the net to drag his side back into the game, but they were unable to score a winner against 10 men late on.

Even the attacking talent coming on off the bench wasn’t enough to find a winner, with Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix both missing big chances.
Not everyone watching will have been particularly big fans of the way Forest played, with their low block proving a real challenge for Enzo Maresca’s men to break down.
Andy Jacobs not impressed by Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea
This seems to be the case with TalkSPORT pundit Andy Jacobs, who desctribed Forest’s football as ‘terrible’.
He said: “It was so boring, one of the match reports said Forest were experts at game management – or cheating as I call it. The timewasting, Sels at one point went down injured, I mean we can all see there’s nothing wrong with him.
The referee should have added on at least 25 minutes but that’s the way it goes. Chelsea have played Nuno teams nine times now and won twice. He plays this terrible, spoiling football and if I had to watch that football every week I don’t think I’d bother.”
Maresca now has an international break to come up with the solutions that he couldn’t find on Sunday, with big games coming thick and fast when they return.
Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella now suspended
The Blues will start with a trip to Anfield to take on league leaders Liverpool, and are already going to be missing two key players.
Both Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella are suspended for the next game after already hitting the threshold for five yellow cards, picking that up in just seven games.
This will likely bring an opportunity for Tosin Adarabioyo and Renato Veiga to make their mark in what will be then biggest games of their Chelsea careers so far.
