Timo Werner would walk straight into the Chelsea’s starting line-up this season.
That is according to talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara.
Timo Werner, 27, is a former Chelsea player that had a turbulent ride at Stamford Bridge between 2020-22.
The German attacker scored 23 goals and made 21 assists in 89 Blues appearances. He was part of a famous side that won the Champions League against Manchester City in 2021, too.
However, the forward’s first spell in England was met with plenty of scrutiny due to his inconsistency in front of goal.
Chelsea sold Werner back to RB Leipzig in the summer of 2022 in a £25m deal (Sky Sports). Remarkably, he’s sealed a return to London during this January transfer window, but he’s joined up with Tottenham on loan until the end of the season.

Jamie O’Hara believes that Spurs have completed a smart piece of business by recruiting Werner on loan.
He added that the Germany international would get in Chelsea’s starting XI right now.
O’Hara told talkSPORT: “Timo Werner has put pen to paper on a six-month loan deal at Spurs. I think it’s a great move. I think Ange [Postecoglou] will get the best out of him. He would walk into Chelsea’s team right now, that’s for sure.”
Timo Werner would start for Chelsea
We, like many Chelsea fans, do have a soft spot for Werner.
However, his move to Spurs this week may just lessen the memory of him a little.
We expect Spurs supporters will immediately enjoy the pace and energy that Werner brings on the pitch, but over time that will turn to frustration.
With regards to O’Hara’s claim that Werner would get in Chelsea’s best side, we’re doubtful.
He can be a threat to any side in Europe on his day when he’s in form, but there’s too much baggage that comes with him.
